Symptoms:

Earlier, Thrips palmi Karny, Thrips tabaci (Linderman) and Rhipiphorothrips cruentatus Hood were reported to attack mango. Recently, the chilli thrips, Scirtothrips dorsalis (Hood) (Agropedia.iitk.ac.in)  is becoming major problem in Konkan region causing huge damage to mango crop. Particularly, dry spring weather and delay in summer showers, help built-up of the thrips population.
